WOW is right! Do you ever look at your schedule for the upcoming week and say "Wow" or maybe "Whoa" or even "Yikes"? Then this post is for you.
We are definitely Way Overloaded Women! But the question is Are YOU doing it to YOURSELF? How are you benefitting from overload?
Before you quickly brush me aside at such a suggestion, consider this:
We only do things that provide us a benefit. Do you really go to the dentist to listen to those grinding and scraping sounds and feel that gritty toothpaste because you get no benefit from it? I would guess that the benefit of healthy gums and glistening teeth gives you increased confidence in knowing you can keep your teeth and flash that beautiful smile for years to come! Even though there are obstacles of inconvenience, expense and discomfort, you still do it!
Before you reach for a pen to add the next dentist appointment to the to do list, stop yourself and ask this question
"What is my intention for today?"
For example, my intention for today is to live committed to the present moment, to stay focused and engaged on the task at hand, to be appreciative for the opportunities and challenges that will help me grow as a person, to laugh with my children and greet every person I meet with a smile.
I have a busy day, but my intention is to LIVE Today, not just get through it.
What would that look like for You to live fully present today?
Consider this when looking at your schedule and determining what your priorities are.
If you have a To Do list for today or this week, stop and write beside it what the benefit is for doing it.
If you don't have a list, then make one and include the benefits.
You can simplify and find balance by getting clear and staying true to your intentions.
NOTE: This will be a regular column that will include tips on how to combat the WOW symptoms in your life. I look forward to sharing from my learning and hope that you will find it helpful. I would love to hear your feedback!

I never thought of it like that, but it really is true.
